My First TV Appearance

Well as I always say, 'present yourself everyday as if you are going to be on TV' well that day has come...
I have just finished filming for The Vanessa Show on Channel 5 and it will be aired tomorrow (Friday 18th February) at 11am.  I had a de-clutter expert in my home helping me, well de-clutter!

As much as I can keep my wardrobe fabulous, it is the rest of the house which suffers, it seems we can't both look good, it's me or the house!
It was fun and productive, I now have to keep the momentum up and not stuff everything back in the spare room.

Vanessa Feltz makes TV presenting looks soooooo easy, she is amazing and made us feel so at home, hmmm yes I think I could get used to this - oh sorry I was drifting off into a celebrity day dream.  Where was I oh yes, the oh so natural Vanessa and her super charming fiance, what a cutie Ben is.

Wow it is not easy being a woman...

These are just some of the challenges my lovely followers have identified:
How to deal with coarse grey hairs.
Don't be tempted to pluck these hairs, that will stimulate the hair follicle, resulting in further growth and they will become thicker and stick up as they grow through.  Go to a salon for a colour treatment or if you are experienced or brave try a product from the chemist for an all over colour.

How to recover from over plucked eyebrows.
I am afraid this one is not an overnight solution, you need to be patient and step away from the tweezers until you have some regrowth (approx 6 weeks) and then visit a threading expert at an eyebrow bar where they will be able to shape you back into beautiful.
How to tame fine flyaway hair.
Kerastase have some fab products and as the owner of the fine, tangled hair I use volumactive products including; shampoo, conditioner and styling spray to keep it working for the whole day.

How to find time to put on makeup and not look like a clown (really???)
A quick sweep over the face with a foundation brush with tinted moisturiser will give your skin an even beautiful glow.  A touch of concealer under the eye, a sweep of mascara and a cream blush applied just to the apples of your cheeks, will give you a natural looking groomed look.  Honestly this will take less than 5 minutes and you will feel ready to face the world.

Embrace your Flare!!!

Now with the 1970's glamour look coming into trend, I am over the moon with my recent purchase of the best high street high rise, flare jeans from wait for it..... Gap.  They are perfect for balancing out bigger bottoms, hips and thighs and in this fab dark rinse and worn with a pair of shoe/boot heels they make my legs look like Elle McPherson's well maybe not quite at 5ft3and a half (that half is very important you know) but hey I feel great in them and for the bargain price of £45.95 I had to have two pairs!  One for heels and one for flats you understand.

Wow we really are seeing the Spring Summer 2011 collections hitting the high streets now.
Apologies for the gap in posts I have been busying myself with my 'Personal Stylist' course.  I am honoured to announce that I have been given the 'internship' by NHJ Style and am loving it.  Last week I assisted an NHJ stylist with a wardrobe detox and shall be assisting on the personal stylist shopping day with this client next week.  
Nicky Hambleton Jones (NHJ) is best known for presenting the TV show '10 Years Younger' and is a celebrity stylist.

The wardrobe detox is a service in which the stylists looks at the clients wardrobe and helps them put outfits together. Don't worry it is not that all your clothes will be discarded, only the pieces which do not work for your body shape and lifestyle.  Some clothes can be altered, accessorised and dyed to make them work.  The next step is to go out shopping for the pieces your wardrobe is missing in accordance to your lifestyle.  


As a newbie stylist I am offering these services independently of NHJ for just £150 for the WARDROBE DETOX (3 hours) and £175 for the PERSONAL STYLING SHOP (3.5 hours).  Booked together the price is £300.  If you are interested and are within 100 miles of London, contact me and I will book you an appointment.
